Sponsoring safety for local scout group
The 10th Mansfield Beaver Scouts group needed some new high-vis vests as their current ones were getting old and were all one size.
This meant the smaller children were wearing vests that were too big, making it difficult when they were taking part in activities.
Buying new ones would mean dipping into funds that could be spent on activities, or fundraising specifically to buy them which would take time.
As a community focused business, with safety being a core priority, we decided to fund and provide these new vests for the children. Working with our staff uniform provider, we were able to design and produce 25 blue high-vis vests, in a range of sizes with the scout group logo on display.
Leighanne Lockyer who runs the 10th Mansfield Beaver Scouts group for children aged six to eight said:
The group used them for the first time at their annual Christmas Camp visit to Wheelgate Adventure Park in December. The new vests meant each child had a well-fitted vest and the group leaders could easily identify the children and keep them safe.
